Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 490/140
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The second Sunday in June each year is a holiday to be known as Children’s Day (El Dia de los Ninos). Children’s Day is to be observed throughout the State as a day to recognize and acknowledge the lives of all children and to pledge our dedication to their future and ours.
