Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 820 ILCS 135/2.3
- Oversight: Committee review of the activities of a Federal agency or program.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
No provision of any law of this State may be construed to prohibit a cemetery authority from reserving, in a cemetery not owned by a religious organization or institution, a section of interment rights, entombment rights, or inurnment rights for sale exclusively to persons of a particular religion, unless membership in the religion is restricted on account of race, color, or national origin. As used in this Section, “interment rights”, “entombment rights”, and “inurnment rights” have the meanings ascribed to those terms in the Cemetery Care Act or the Cemetery Oversight Act, whichever is applicable.
