Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 1863/15
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The District has power to acquire or to apply to the proper authorities of the United States of America under the appropriate law for the right to establish, operate, maintain, and lease foreign trade zones and sub-zones within the jurisdiction of the United States Customs Service and to establish, operate, maintain, and lease the foreign trade zones and sub-zones.
