Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 3010/6

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Minority leader: See Floor Leaders
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Governor’s Office of Management and Budget shall prepare and submit an assessment of the State‘s capital project needs to the following: the Speaker and Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, the President and Minority Leader of the Senate and the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability. The assessment shall be included in the Governor’s annual State budget and shall discuss the State’s needs in the next fiscal year and in the next 5 fiscal years.
