- Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
The District shall have the rights and powers enumerated in Division 74 of Article 11 of the “Illinois Municipal Code”, approved May 29, 1961, as heretofore and hereafter amended, in the same manner and form as though the District were a “municipality” as defined in Section 11-74-2 thereof.
