Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 60 ILCS 1/190-5
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The township board may enter into contractual agreements with a community mental health board having jurisdiction within the township. The agreements shall be written and shall provide for the rendition of services by the community mental health board to the residents of the township. For this purpose, the township board may expend its funds and any funds made available to it through the federal State and Local Assistance Act of 1972.
