- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
No private business and vocational school, as defined in the Private Business and Vocational Schools Act of 2012, may solicit an applicant or recipient within a public aid office or within 100 feet of a public aid office, for the purpose of enrolling the applicant or recipient in a work or training program, without the express written consent of the Illinois Department. Any person violating this Section shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. “Public aid office” for the purpose of this Section includes any business office of the Department where a person may apply for or receive benefits or services under this Code, the building in which such office is located, and any parking area connected to such office that is owned or leased by the State for the benefit of the Department for use by personnel of the Department or by applicants or recipients.
