- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.

The Department may enter into contracts for equipment or services designed to decrease energy consumption in State programs and State owned or controlled buildings or equipment. Prior to entering into any such contract for a State owned building, the Department shall consult with the Executive Director of the Capital Development Board. The Department may consult with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity regarding any aspect of energy consumption projects.
