Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 2310/2310-720

  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department shall create a pilot program to allow the Department to enter into an agreement with a municipality that employs a State of Illinois certified plumbing inspector to do inspections on behalf of the Department and submit appropriate documentation as requested to verify the inspections were completed to the standards required by the Department and outlined in the partnership.
