Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 30 ILCS 764/10-25

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
     The Department shall consider all applications for grants filed prior to a deadline established by the Department for a fiscal year before awarding any grants for that year. The Department shall evaluate those applications that have been timely filed in accordance with the rules promulgated by the Department pursuant to and consistent with the provisions of this Act.
