Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 5/5-1069.5

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     All counties, including home rule counties, are subject to the provisions of § 356r of the Illinois Insurance Code. The requirement under this Section that health care benefits provided by counties comply with § 356r of the Illinois Insurance Code is an exclusive power and function of the State and is a denial and limitation of home rule county powers under Article VII, Section 6, subsection (h) of the Illinois Constitution.
