- County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07

A county board may receive funds from the United States pursuant to the “Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973”, Public Law 93-203, and may disburse such funds together with any other county funds for the purposes specified in that public law.
