- County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
Within 60 days following close of the public hearing, the preservation commission shall make its determination upon the evidence whether the proposed landmark or preservation district does or does not meet the criteria for designation. A recommendation to the county board that the proposed landmark or preservation district does or does not meet the criteria for designation and should or should not be designated shall be passed by resolution of the preservation commission, and such a recommendation shall be accompanied by a report stating the findings of the preservation commission concerning the historic, archaeological, architectural or scenic significance of the proposed landmark or preservation district.
