(a) The Authority shall continually review the Chicago Transit Authority’s payment of the required contributions to its retirement system under § 22-101 of the Illinois Pension Code.
     (b) Beginning January 1, 2009, if at any time the Authority determines that the Chicago Transit Authority’s payment of any portion of the required contributions to its retirement system under § 22-101 of the Illinois Pension Code is more than one month overdue, it shall as soon as possible pay the amount of those overdue contributions to the Board of Trustees of the Retirement Plan on behalf of the Chicago Transit Authority out of moneys otherwise payable to the Chicago Transit Authority under Section 4.03.3 of this Act. The Authority shall thereafter have no liability to the Chicago Transit Authority for amounts paid to the Board of Trustees of the Retirement Plan under this Section.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 3615/4.02a

  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14

     (c) Whenever the Authority acts or determines that it is required to act under subsection (b), it shall so notify the Chicago Transit Authority, the Mayor of Chicago, the Governor, the Auditor General of the State of Illinois, and the General Assembly.
