(1) The provisions of KRS § 95.951 to KRS § 95.960 shall be in addition to the requirements of
KRS § 61.300 or any other statute.
(2) The provisions of KRS § 95.951 to KRS § 95.960 shall not be construed as limiting any city, urban-county, or charter county in the Commonwealth which appoints or employs peace officers or auxiliary police officers from requiring standards of performance stricter than those contained in KRS § 95.951 to KRS § 95.960.
