Nothing in KRS § 146.200 to KRS § 146.360 shall preclude a component of the Wild Rivers System from becoming a part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. The office shall be directed to encourage and assist any federal studies for inclusion of Kentucky streams in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. The office may enter into written cooperative agreements for joint federal-state or interstate administration of a Kentucky component of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, provided agreements for the administration of water and land uses are not less restrictive than those set forth in KRS
146.200 to 146.360.
