As a condition precedent to the expenditure of any state funds for the development of any airport in the state, the cabinet may require that the governmental unit or units shall have, or be in a position to acquire, all lands or other property interests which in the judgment of the cabinet are necessary for the development of the airport.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 183.767

  • governmental unit: means any city, or the combination of any two (2) or more thereof, or any county, urban-county government, or combination of two (2) or more such counties, city or cities, acting jointly with any county or counties or an airboard or board established as provided in this chapter. See Kentucky Statutes 183.012
  • Precedent: A court decision in an earlier case with facts and law similar to a dispute currently before a court. Precedent will ordinarily govern the decision of a later similar case, unless a party can show that it was wrongly decided or that it differed in some significant way.
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
