Applications for professional engineer or professional land surveyor licenses shall be on forms prescribed and furnished by the board and shall contain:
(1) Statements made under oath, showing the applicant’s education and a detailed summary of the applicant’s technical experience;
(2) Not less than five (5) references, of which at least three (3) shall be from professional engineers or professional land surveyors, as may be appropriate, having personal knowledge of the applicant’s engineering or land surveying experience; and
(3) Any other information as the board may require by administrative regulation. References and employment verifications submitted under this section shall remain
confidential records of the board.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 322.070
- Board: means the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land
Surveyors. See Kentucky Statutes 322.010 - Engineer: means a person who is qualified to engage in the practice of professional engineering by reason of special knowledge and use of:
(a) The mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences. See Kentucky Statutes 322.010 - Engineering: means any professional service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires engineering education, training, and experience as an engineer. See Kentucky Statutes 322.010
- Land surveying: shall include but not be limited to the following:
1. See Kentucky Statutes 322.010 - Land surveyor: means a person who is qualified to engage in the practice of land surveying by reason of special knowledge and use of mathematics, the physical and applied sciences, and the principles and methods of land surveying, acquired by education and practical experience in land surveying. - Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
(2) Not less than five (5) references, of which at least three (3) shall be from professional engineers or professional land surveyors, as may be appropriate, having personal knowledge of the applicant’s engineering or land surveying experience; and
(3) Any other information as the board may require by administrative regulation. References and employment verifications submitted under this section shall remain
confidential records of the board.
