(1) A limited cooperative association shall be organized by one (1) or more organizers. (2) To form a limited cooperative association, an organizer of the association shall
deliver articles of association to the Secretary of State for filing. The limited
cooperative association is formed when articles of association that comply with subsection (3) of this section are filed by the Secretary of State, and are effective as determined under KRS § 14A.2-070.
(3) The articles of association shall include: (a) The name of the association;
(b) The purposes for which the association is formed;
(c) The mailing address of the association’s principal office;
(d) The name and street address of the association’s initial registered office and registered agent that comply with KRS § 14A.4-010;
(e) The name and street address and, if different, mailing address of each organizer; and
(f) The term for which the association is to exist if other than perpetual.
(4) Subject to KRS § 272A.1-110, articles of association may contain any other provisions in addition to those required by subsection (3) of this section not inconsistent with this chapter.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 272A.3-010
- Articles of association: means the articles of association of a limited cooperative association required by KRS §. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Cooperative: means a limited cooperative association or an entity organized under any cooperative law of any jurisdiction. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Organizer: means an individual who signs the initial articles of association. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Principal office: means the principal executive office of a limited cooperative association or foreign cooperative, whether or not in this state. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Secretary: means the officer designated pursuant to KRS §. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020

(b) The purposes for which the association is formed;
