Unless the articles of association otherwise provide, in considering the best interests of a limited cooperative association, in discharging the duties of director, in conjunction with considering the long- and short-term interest of the association and its patron members, a director may consider:
(1) The interest of employees, customers, and suppliers of the association; (2) The interest of the community in which the association operates; and
(3) Other cooperative principles and values that may be applied in the context of the decision.

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 272A.8-190
- Articles of association: means the articles of association of a limited cooperative association required by KRS §. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Cooperative: means a limited cooperative association or an entity organized under any cooperative law of any jurisdiction. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
- Director: means a director of a limited cooperative association. See Kentucky Statutes 272A.1-020
(3) Other cooperative principles and values that may be applied in the context of the decision.
