§ 990-f. Administration of municipal theme districts. The municipal theme district shall be administered by a seven person theme district board appointed by the county, city, town or village designating the district. The members of the board shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing entity and shall be responsible for the administration of theme district activities and events as well as the implementation of the municipal theme district development plan.

- Municipal theme district: shall mean a geographic area designated by a county, city, town or village, pursuant to section nine hundred ninety-d of this article, to be a theme district for the purpose of promoting, advancing or coordinating an approved theme pursuant to section nine hundred ninety-c of this article. - Theme district board: shall mean the board of directors of the theme district, appointed by the county, city, town or village establishing the district, and responsible for the administration and operation of the district. See N.Y. General Municipal Law 990-B
