§ 97-qqq. Automation and printing chargeback account. 1. There is hereby established in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the commissioner of the department of taxation and finance an account of the miscellaneous internal service fund to be known as the automation and printing chargeback account.

Notwithstanding any other law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the state comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to receive for deposit to the credit of the automation and printing chargeback account chargebacks to the general fund – state purposes account, to special revenue fund – other, to special revenue funds – federal and to internal services funds for centralized information technology and printing services and moneys recovered from the sale of department publications, fees for technical assistance services, fees for printing services provided to other department units, other state agencies, governmental bodies and other entities.
3. Moneys of this account, following appropriation by the legislature, shall be available to the state education department for services and expenses related to the administration of the automation and printing chargeback account.
