§ 15.09 Notices to mental hygiene legal service concerning minors.

- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
When any person under the age of eighteen years is admitted to or is converted from one admission status to another in any school, written notice of such admission or conversion shall be given to the mental hygiene legal service within three days thereof and such notice shall specify the age of and admission procedure applicable to such person. No such person shall be transferred to any other school without the prior consent of such person and the prior written consent of his parent or legal guardian unless three days prior written notice of such proposed transfer is given to the mental hygiene legal service and an opportunity is afforded to the service to see such person and to review the proposed transfer. Immediately upon release or transfer of any such person, the director of the school shall give the mental hygiene legal service written notice thereof.
