§ 2573. Children's institutions; inspections; reports. 1. The administrative officer or person in charge and the regular physician of every institution caring for children referred to in this article shall make such reports concerning the physical condition and health of the children and the environmental sanitation of the institution as may be required by the state health commissioner, local health officer or health commissioner having jurisdiction.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
2. In conjunction with the state department having general supervision, the commissioner may make inspection of such institutions from time to time with respect to the physical health and condition of the children and the environmental sanitation of the institution or he may direct that such inspections be made by the health officer having jurisdiction.
