Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code Chapter 373 - Community Development in Municipalities

  • Devise: To gift property by will.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
