(a) A person commits an offense if the person interferes with a person or peace officer entering a residence and retrieving personal property under the authority of a writ issued under Section 24A.002 or 24A.0021.
(b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

Terms Used In Texas Property Code 24A.005
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
(c) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that the actor did not receive a copy of the writ or other notice that the entry or property retrieval was authorized.
