- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person who violates § 506.003 is liable to the individual who is the subject of the covered information for statutory damages in an amount of not less than $25 or more than $500 for each violation, not to exceed a total amount of $150,000.
