(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b) and subject to Subsection (c), a registration of securities under § 4003.104 may be renewed for additional periods of one year if the appropriate registration forms and renewal fees are received before the expiration date of the registration to be renewed.
(b) Subject to Subsection (c), for renewal of the initial registration of securities described by § 4003.104(b), the issuer or the issuer’s agent may renew the registration by submitting the appropriate registration forms and renewal fees not later than two months after the end of the issuer’s fiscal year.

Terms Used In Texas Government Code 4003.105

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Justice: when applied to a magistrate, means justice of the peace. See Texas Government Code 312.011
  • Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005

(c) The same standards of fairness, justice, and equity prescribed by this subchapter for original approval of a registration apply to the renewal of the registration.
