Terms Used In Texas Business and Commerce Code 681.051
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
In this subchapter:
(1) “Eligible corporation” means a corporation organized to establish, operate, and maintain a foreign trade zone.
(2) “Governmental entity” means:
(A) this state;
(B) a state agency;
(C) a county, municipality, or special district; or
(D) a combination of entities listed in Paragraphs (A)-(C).
