(a) The 435th Judicial District is composed of Montgomery County.

  • Court reporter: A person who makes a word-for-word record of what is said in court and produces a transcript of the proceedings upon request.
  • Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).

(c) Notwithstanding any other law and only to the extent that the duties of those individuals relate to civil commitment proceedings under Chapter 841, Health and Safety Code, or to criminal cases involving offenses under § 841.085, Health and Safety Code, and Article 62.203, Code of Criminal Procedure, the state shall pay the salaries of and other expenses related to the court reporter appointed for the 435th District Court under § 52.041 and the court coordinator appointed for the court under § 74.101. The salaries of the court reporter and court coordinator shall be set in amounts commensurate with the salaries paid by other district courts for those positions.
