Terms Used In Texas Government Code 54.2602
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
To be eligible for appointment as a magistrate, a person must:
(1) be a resident of this state; and
(2) have been licensed to practice law in this state for at least four years.
