- Litigation: A case, controversy, or lawsuit. Participants (plaintiffs and defendants) in lawsuits are called litigants.
This chapter does not apply to:
(1) a party to the litigation involved;
(2) the attorney of the party; or
(3) a full-time employee of a party or a party’s attorney.
