Terms Used In Texas Government Code 531.111
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
The commission may contract with a contractor who specializes in developing technology capable of identifying patterns of fraud exhibited by Medicaid recipients to:
(1) develop and implement the fraud detection technology; and
(2) determine if a pattern of fraud by Medicaid recipients is present in the recipients’ eligibility files maintained by the commission.
