Terms Used In Texas Government Code 1502.074
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person who resides in a municipality and is a taxpayer or holder of a public security issued or an obligation incurred under this chapter and secured by the revenue of the municipality’s utility system, park, or swimming pool as provided by this chapter is entitled to enforce this chapter by appropriate civil action in a district court in the county in which the municipality is located.
