(a) To conduct market conduct surveillance under this chapter, the commissioner may designate department staff to perform duties under this chapter, and may supplement that staff with qualified outside professional assistance if the commissioner determines that that assistance is necessary.
(b) Market conduct surveillance personnel must be qualified by education and experience and, if applicable, must hold appropriate professional designations.
