- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The department may inquire into the competence, fitness, or reputation of:
(1) an officer or director of an insurer; or
(2) a person having control of an insurer.
