(a) The books, records, accounting, and verification relating to an authorized alien insurance company’s trusteed assets are subject to examination by the department or the department’s appointed representative at the United States branch office of the company, in the same manner and to the same extent that applies under Subchapter A, Chapter 86, and Sections 401.051, 401.052, 401.054-401.062, 401.151, 401.152, 401.155, and 401.156 to domestic and foreign insurance companies authorized to engage in the same kind of insurance.
(b) The books, records, and accounting for trusteed assets of an alien insurance company that enters the United States through this state shall be maintained in English in the company’s branch office in this state.
