Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 26.041
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
The municipality may:
(1) create offices;
(2) determine the method for selecting officers; and
(3) prescribe the qualifications, duties, and tenure of office for officers.
