(a) An owner of a motor vehicle commits an offense if the owner fails to make and retain complete records for the four-year period required by § 334.110.
(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $25 or more than $500.

- Motor vehicle: means a self-propelled vehicle designed principally to transport persons or property on a public roadway and includes a passenger car, van, station wagon, sports utility vehicle, and truck. See Texas Local Government Code 334.101
