Terms Used In Texas Water Code 6.189

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The position of and information developed by the board may be presented by the executive administrator or his designated representative at hearings of the board and commission and at hearings held by federal, state, and local agencies on matters affecting the public’s interest in the state’s water resources, including matters that have been determined to be policies of the state. The board shall be named a party in any hearing before the commission in which the board requests party status. The board may appeal any ruling, decision, or other act of the commission.
