Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 901.202
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005

- Written: includes any representation of words, letters, symbols, or figures. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The board by rule shall establish methods by which consumers and service recipients are notified of the name, mailing address, and telephone number of the board for the purpose of directing a complaint to the board. The board may require that notice:
(1) on each registration form, application, or written contract for services of a person regulated under this chapter; or
(2) in a bill for service provided by a person regulated under this chapter.
