(a) Except as provided by § 501.0935, Transportation Code, a salvage vehicle dealer who acquires ownership of a salvage motor vehicle from an owner must receive from the owner a properly assigned title.
(b) The dealer shall comply with Subchapter E, Chapter 501, Transportation Code.
