- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: means any individual, partnership, firm, corporation or association, or any employee or agent thereof. See Tennessee Code 47-18-1201
- Property: includes both personal and real property. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- Water treatment device: means any product that:
(A) Is designed to alter the chemical or physical properties or characteristics of drinking water or plumbing, or which the seller, lessor or renter claims can alter the chemical or physical properties or characteristics of drinking water or plumbing.
