The power of the several courts to issue attachments, and inflict punishments for contempts of court, shall not be construed to extend to any except the following cases:
Terms Used In Tennessee Code 29-9-102
- Juror: A person who is on the jury.
- Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
