Terms Used In Tennessee Code 62-4-139
- Board: means the state board of cosmetology and barber examiners created by §. See Tennessee Code 62-4-102
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The board shall provide written notice of the requirements of §§ 62-4-110(f), 62-4-118(m), 62-4-120(i), and 62-4-120(k) to all applicable licensees and schools under the jurisdiction of the board through the board’s website, e-blasts, print mailings, and license renewal communications.
