Terms Used In Tennessee Code 62-36-119
- Department: means the department of commerce and insurance. See Tennessee Code 62-36-103
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
- Geologist: means a person qualified by education and practical experience to engage in the practice of geology. See Tennessee Code 62-36-103
- Geology: means the science concerning the earth and its history, including:
(A) The investigation, prediction of existence and location of: (i) Minerals. See Tennessee Code 62-36-103 - Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
