As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:

(1) “Authority” means a metropolitan celebration authority created pursuant to the authority of this chapter;

Terms Used In Tennessee Code 7-6-103

  • Authority: means a metropolitan celebration authority created pursuant to the authority of this chapter. See Tennessee Code 7-6-103
  • Board: means the board of commissioners of an authority. See Tennessee Code 7-6-103
  • County mayor: means and includes "county executive" unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • Creating municipality: means any county having adopted a metropolitan form of government that creates an authority pursuant to this chapter. See Tennessee Code 7-6-103
  • Executive officer: means the mayor, county mayor or other chief executive officer of any creating municipality. See Tennessee Code 7-6-103
  • State: means the state of Tennessee. See Tennessee Code 7-6-103
(2) “Board” means the board of commissioners of an authority;
(3) “Bonds” includes notes, interim certificates or other obligations of an authority;
(4) “Creating municipality” means any county having adopted a metropolitan form of government that creates an authority pursuant to this chapter;
(5) “Executive officer” means the mayor, county mayor or other chief executive officer of any creating municipality; and
(6) “State” means the state of Tennessee.
