For the purpose of aiding and cooperating in the planning, undertaking, construction or operation of airports and air navigation facilities, and acquiring avigation easements pursuant to this chapter, any municipality for which an authority has been created may, upon such terms, with or without consideration as it may determine:
Terms Used In Tennessee Code 42-3-117
- Airport: means any area of land or water that is used, or intended for use, for the landing and taking off of aircraft, and any appurtenant areas that are used, or intended for use, for airport buildings or other airport facilities or avigation easements or rights-of-way, together with all airport buildings and facilities located on those areas. - authority: means any regional airport authority or municipal airport authority created pursuant to this chapter. See Tennessee Code 42-3-102
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Municipality: means any county, or any incorporated city or incorporated town of this state. See Tennessee Code 42-3-102
- Property: includes both personal and real property. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
