Terms Used In Tennessee Code 63-17-110
- Audiologist: means one who practices audiology or one holding oneself out to the public by any title or description of services incorporating the words "audiologist" "audiology" "audiological" "hearing center" "hearing clinic" "hearing clinician" "hearing therapist" or any similar titles or descriptions of service. See Tennessee Code 63-17-103
- Board: means the board of communications disorders and sciences. See Tennessee Code 63-17-103
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Person: means any individual, organization or corporate body except that only individuals can be licensed under this chapter. See Tennessee Code 63-17-103
- Speech language pathologist: means one who practices speech pathology, one who holds out to the public by any title or description of services incorporating the words "speech language pathologist" "speech pathologist" "speech pathology" "speech therapy" "speech correction" "speech correctionist" "speech therapist" "speech clinic" "speech clinician" "language pathologist" "language pathology" "language therapist" "logopedics" "logopedist" "communicology" "communicologist" "asphasiologist" "voice therapy" "voice therapist" "voice pathology" "voice pathologist" or "phoniatrist" or any similar titles or description of services. - State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- written: includes printing, typewriting, engraving, lithography, and any other mode of representing words and letters. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
