Terms Used In Tennessee Code 68-105-111
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Person: means an individual, public or private corporation, political subdivision, government agency, municipality, industry, copartnership, association, firm, trust, estate or other entity whatsoever. See Tennessee Code 68-105-102
Any person, firm, association, corporation or other entity that engages in activity governed by this chapter and is not registered as required by this chapter commits a Class A misdemeanor.
